Where work gets stuck

An integration can say it sent an update while the receiving system never acted, leaving two teams with conflicting records.

This project is for product teams and businesses connecting stores, crms and internal services. The aim is to make the next decision visible to the people doing the work.

What a team might do

A store sends an order update to an operations service. The receiver fails once and accepts a later signed retry. The gateway records the attempt and returns the stored result when an identical request is repeated. Staff can inspect a redacted audit trail rather than assume the handoff worked.

What the prototype does

  • Authenticated intake and configured destination
  • Temporary-failure retries and idempotent request handling
  • SQLite audit history and signed delivery

What I built and tested

I designed and implemented this independent prototype to explore the business workflow and its technical constraints. Node.js, TypeScript, SQLite, authentication, rate limiting, failure handling and tests. The repository explains how to run its real implementation and tests.

Explore the demo and the code

Open the fictional browser walkthrough to understand the workflow. Read the source and README for installation, local testing and implementation details. The browser page does not run the backend service.

What this version does not claim

The Pages page is a fictional walkthrough. The real gateway is a local prototype, and the receiver must still deduplicate retries. No customer outcomes have been measured for this independent demonstration.

Could this fit your team?

Choose one fragile handoff, then test a temporary receiver failure with fictional events and inspect the evidence needed by operators. There is no fee or obligation to adopt a product. Any work involving real data or a production deployment would need a separate scope and appropriate safeguards.
